Graduations
The site takes ~300 seated or ~600 standing, which covers anything from a whole graduating class to a family party. The ceremony or speeches go in the garden, dinner under the covered structure, and the ~4,000 sq ft under roof handle the May and June rain in Miami.
May and June it rains
Graduation season in Miami overlaps with the start of the rainy season. An outdoor party in those weeks needs a plan B that is not “fingers crossed”: here it is ~4,000 sq ft of permanent cover, with no tent and no change of venue.
Speeches outside, dinner inside
The two spaces are contiguous and share the walk, so you can do the standing part — speeches, photographs, toasts — in the garden and move to a seated dinner under cover without anyone leaving the site. That removes the dead moment that usually breaks the rhythm.
